E.ON Global Commodities SE is at the heart of global energy markets.

Our primary objective is to maximize the value of E.ON’s power and gas assets and to manage the commodity price risks associated with operating those assets.

We are looking for our Department Power Asset Risk in Düsseldorf for a/an 

Power Asset Risk - Risk Analyst (m/f)


Respsonsibilities:

  • Manage portfolio market risk: Analyze exposure, synergies, diversification and concentration risk
  • Evaluate non-standard / structured deals and conduct ad hoc deal and portfolio analyses
  • Analyse portfolio risks and challenge Front Office on mitigation strategies
  • Think commercially about the development and implementation of new products and hedging tools in markets
  • Steer new business approvals


Qualifications:

  • Detailed knowledge of European Power markets across generation types and including emissions and sales
  • Background in risk management within an investment bank or energy trading company
  • Experience in optimization/modelling of power assets is a plus
  • Strong analytical orientation and ability to manage interface to quant teams
  • Familiar with option theory, stochastic processes, and the most commonly used Risk metrics such as VaR, stress testing
  • Ability to engage in balanced and independent interaction with trading team
  • Commercially oriented individual with strong focus on accuracy of information
  • Problem-solving mindset with project management skills
  • Strong team player with experience of working in an international team
  • Excellent communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English
