Job Purpose/Role

Group IT Strategy and Enterprise Architecture defines the Group IT strategy, the enterprise architecture, performs strategic and functional reporting and controlling of Allianz IT spend and cost using a balanced score card, defines Group IT standards and run the IT Council.

The department Group IT Enterprise Architecture defines the enterprise architecture for Allianz Group by shaping and filling the enterprise architecture repository, analysing IT implications of new or major upgrades of strategic IT platforms, evaluating key upgrades against AMOS services, platform roadmaps and technical blueprint, analysing coherence of OE roadmaps with Group IT strategy during Operations & IT strategy sessions, steering and supporting strategic IT projects innovation experiments, thereby supporting IT executive decision making, leveraging a network of external contacts to technology leaders and relevant academia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Head of Enterprise Architecture and Group CIO in in-depth analysis and evaluation of critical IT projects and initiatives
  • Shape and run ITCo (IT Committee), ITC (IT Council) projects, task forces and innovation experiments supporting IT Executive decision making and leveraging the global network of experts assigned to the projects
  • Update, and refresh and communicate the Allianz IT strategy
  • Provide support in reviewing IT strategy relevant content for the Operations and IT strategy sessions
  • Actively participate and help shape the Allianz global architecture community
  • Work closely with the AMOS IT Architecture and the architecture processes
  • Inject architectural approaches, knowledge and know-how in adjacent Group IT departments, e.g. IT Standards & Councils and IT Reporting and Controlling
  • Design and maintain the Group IT application landscape with a clear focus on Group IT productivity

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience

Qualifications

  • University Master Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Science with excellent achievement
  • Additional qualification, such as MBA, PhD is a plus
  • International experience outside home-country of at least 2 years
  • Proven experience working with both on executive level (board of management) as well as technical communities
  • Experience with building enterprise architecture functions
  • Deep experience across multiple technical fields, e.g. analytics
  • Deep experience across multiple business field, e.g. business cases, (IT) performance measurement
  • Solid craft skills: writing prose, presentations, communications in a recipient oriented approach
  • Solid craft skills in consulting problem solving approaches and methods
  • Solid craft skills: Project management, change management, managing large groups, working in virtual teams
  • Hands-on experience in building and deploying applications and systems
  • Advanced hands-on skills in using end-user productivity tools (Microsoft Office, esp. Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Fluent English, written and spoken, additional language to mother tongue a plus
  • Optional: TOGAF, LEAD or simular architecture certification, Project Management Certification (PRINCE2, PMI), Service Management (ITIL/ITSM) certification

Experience & Key skills

  • Experienced IT professional with a minimum of six years of experience, specifically in IT strategy, architecture and project management in a leading IT organization
  • Experience in large multi-national corporations working in a multi cultural environment and understanding their decision processes
  • Experience with technology start-ups
  • Excellent communication skills: Ability to distil complex topics into clear decision options without sacrificing technical accuracy
  • Excellent influencing skills: Ability to gain and maintain credibility across all hierarchy levels both technical and business
  • Rapid learner and abreast of technology trends
  • Maintains a relevant external network
  • Excellent analytics and synthesis with strategic orientation

Seit dem 1. Januar 2012 ist unser Vermögensverwaltungsgeschäft auf zwei Anlageverwalter aufgeteilt: PIMCO und Allianz Global Investors (AllianzGI).
